Luggage
Livingston's baggage policy
Adults and children over 2 years of age are permitted one item of cabin luggage free of charge, which must not contain hazardous articles and must be small enough to be stored beneath the seat or in the storage space above the passenger seats. The sum of the three dimensions (length, width and depth) must not exceed 115 cm. The maximum weight permitted is 5 kg. Pushchairs and buggies are usually checked in and put in the aircraft hold.
The checked baggage allowance for each travelling passenger is:
- domestic flights, All/Economy 20 kg;
- short/medium-haul flights, All/Economy 15 kg;
- long-haul flights, Business Class 30 kg - Economy Class 20 kg.
Excess baggage will be subject to an additional charge of 10 euros per kilo on domestic flights, of 12 euros per kilo on short/medium-haul flights and of 18 euros per kilo on long-haul flights.
You are not permitted to bring the following items on board and must eliminate them from your hand baggage before passing through a security checkpoint:
- all firearms including air pistols and toy guns;
- pointed weapons with a sharp blade; pointed or sharp articles capable of causing injury;
- other pointed articles such as scissors (including nail clippers and manicure sets);
- any blunt instrument capable of causing injury (e.g. golf clubs, ski poles, etc.);
- explosives and highly combustible substances posing a risk to the health of passengers and crew or the safety of the aircraft or the aircraft's technical and general safety.
- liquids, exept quantities permitted by law.

Sports equipment is subject to special charges and must be reported at least two working days before the departure date to the travel agency or, if the ticket is purchased directly from the airline company, via e-mail to groundops@lauda.it. The loading of sports equipment is always subject to space/weight availability.

Lost and/or damaged luggage
If you experience any loss, late delivery or damage of your baggage, you must immediately contact the Lost & Found desk at your arrival airport and fill in the standard report. You are also required to send a registered letter (in writing) to the following address: Livingston SpA, Att. Lost & Found - Ground Ops. Dept., via Giovanni XXIII 210, Cardano al Campo, 21010 (VA), Italy.
In case your baggage is damaged, you should write to the airline not later than 7 days from the delivery of your baggage. In case of late delivery, you should write to the airline within 21 days from the moment you got finally possession of your baggage. Passengers are kindly requested to go to outlets specialized in repairing or replacing damaged baggage, with which Livingston has an agreement, within 15 days from the issue of the Delayed or Damaged Baggage Report (DDBR), presenting the damaged baggage, the original airline ticket receipt, the Delayed or Damaged Baggage Report (DDBR) and the baggage receipt (all document in original copy). The outlet will see to it that all documentation, provided by the passenger, is sent on to Livingston.
Unaccompanied baggage
Transport of any kind of unchecked and unaccompanied baggage is not allowed. Passengers will be asked to identify their baggage and take responsibility for the contents.
Carrying personal belongings or other items received from third parties is strictly forbidden.
Animals
Livingston makes travelling with your pet very easy. However, it is always necessary to make a request on booking. Livingston reserves the right to confirm the actual availability of pet transport (in the cabin or hold) according to flight operating conditions and the number of animal transport requests. Pets must be carried in special containers supplied by the owner, before departure. Special restrictions and regulations regarding animal transport apply in some countries. Small pets (maximum weight 10 kg including container) can be carried in the cabin. Passengers carrying a pet in the cabin are assigned a seat compatible with the presence of other animals on board and seat availability. Passengers must look after their pets.
Large pets (registered as checked baggage) will travel in the cargo hold (temperature controlled and ventilated). Animals cannot be carried in the hold of Airbus A321-200 aircraft due to low temperatures.

Passengers must supply a travel container that meets IATA regulations. The container must be hard-sided, with absorbent mat, well-ventilated and impossible to open from the inside. Size limitations for pet containers in the cabin are 48 cm x 35 cm x 29 cm maximum. Passengers must hold a pet passport complete with all the vaccinations and certificates required by the regulations of the country of destination. Guide dogs for blind passengers travel free of charge and are not subject to weight restrictions or travel container requirements. They must be provided with a medical certificate of good health and are allowed to travel in the passenger cabin if provided with a muzzle and kept on a lead.
Please note: considering that Livingston accepts a maximum of 2 animals per flight on its aircraft, we suggest you notify your travel agency or Livingston directly, should you be booking via call centre or online, as soon as possible.
We remind you that for health security reasons, transport of parrots and budgies is not allowed.
